Dr Aleks Mirkovic
Born in Serbia, Dr Aleks Mirkovic graduated from the School of Dentistry at the University of Belgrade in 1990. After initially practising dentistry at a dental school in Belgrade, Dr Mirkovic went into private practise. In 1996, Dr Mirkovic moved to New Zealand with his wife and fellow dentist, Dr Sasha Mirkovic and young family.
Upon graduating from the Dental School at Otago University in Dunedin three years later, Dr Mirkovic worked as Senior House Surgeon and Dental Officer positions at Christchurch Hospital, Canterbury District Health Board, and a number of private practices.
After relocating to Canberra to work in private practice, Dr Mirkovic and his family moved to Ballina in 2003 to work as a practice owner and Principal Dentist. Dr Mirkovic regularly attends industry conferences and courses on implants, and aesthetic and laser dentistry focussing on composite and porcelain restorations.
